Between January 2015 and November 2015, 25 households (aged 60+)  living in Hertfordshire took part in the first phase of the project.

Households were interviewed by the research team about why and how they got their food and also went along with them to take notes, pictures and record short videos about them getting food through a variety of avenues including Supermarkets, local  markets, luncheon clubs, food delivery services and their families.

The aim was to explore where, why and how getting food changes as people get older. Over 1250 photographs, 40 hours of videos and hours of interviews and informal conversations were the result of this phase of the project.
